For the fourth year running the BCO will be making the Annual Conference climate neutral by offsetting CO2 emissions of the whole event.
Climate change is one of the greatest problems facing the world today and is already affecting societies, environments and businesses around the world.
That is why we are offsetting the emissions from this event to help repair the damage our activities do to the climate. To do this, we calculate the CO2 emissions that are released from our energy use and travel to the event and offset through Climate Care, who reduce an equivalent amount of CO2 emissions through their projects.
Climate Care develops projects that avoid, reduce or absorb greenhouse gases through:
- Renewable Energy Cutting out the need for fossil fuels
- Energy Efficiency Using less energy to do the same work
- Forest Restoration Absorbing and storing CO2 as it grows

To ensure the highest standards of environmental integrity, Climate Care's projects are independently verified and its work is scrutinised by its Environmental Steering Committee that includes members of NGOs such as WWF and Forum for the Future.
